DV 112 Stripes or Checks

Our challenge at Dream Valley today is Stripes or Checks, or if you like you could use both. We are sponsored by Doctor Digi, and I have used one of their images, Angling Andy for my card.

112 Stripes or Checks
I coloured Andy with a combination of copics (skin mainly) and prismacolour pencils. I also used a shimmery pen on the fish’s scales, but sadly the shimmer wasn’t picked up by the camera.

The diecut is meant to look like fishing net, and is from Crealies’ Decorette range of dies. I made the fishing hooks myself by cutting apart a gold paperclip and bending back parts of it to form the eye of the hook. The feathers are meant to represent the feathers on a fishing fly! Papers are from Basic Grey.

I am entering Andy into:-

Animal Friends – #29 Zoo – Must have an animal
City Crafter Challenge – #272 A Male Birthday Card
Doodle Pantry – AIMPDC8 Anything Goes
Fairytale Challenge – #123 Boys and Men
Great Impressions – August: Add A Sentiment
Inky Chicks – #54 Use A Metal Embellishment
Morgan’s ArtWorld – #4 Use Three of Something (My home made hooks)
Quirky Crafts – #16 Gone Fishing
The Male Room – #15 Spots and Stripes (I Hope it’s okay that my Spots are inside my Stripes!)
Wags N Whiskers – #159 Recycle (My paperclips into fishing hooks)
